I’m a librarian who writes, skateboards, creates art, and is schizoaffective. I’ve had this website for a year now, and a lot of exciting things are happening. So I plan to post more regularly than before. If I post about libraries I cover nationwide trends or concerns, not the day to day stuff.
Since college I’ve been into writing. On one of my creative writing classes along with the grammar corrections the professor at the end wrote ‘you have a great imagination.’ That has kept me going with writing throughout the years.
My first blog was in 2008 or so, that got some traction, but I stopped it too abruptly. From 2016 to 2021 I had three other short lived blogs. I saved the ‘Mallison Dreams Comics’ from one. Check that out in the top menu tab. I will write on a variety of topics, and maybe throw in some old fiction once in a while.
I can think of several people that are great story tellers, but keep private. I’ve urged them to record or write down their stories, but they don’t want to. Recently I started to think to myself, I got some stories. Why not record my own? I have about five now on youtube, and I’ll embed them for prosperity here. I plan to do more, but when the muse hits me instead of forcing it. To me recording with my iphone and tripod is much easier than spending years writing a memoir.
The other exciting development is I’ve been getting into art. I’m taking local free classes, and love it. I plan to do more and showcase it on this site. Lastly, I’m going to turn my novel concept I’ve been working on for decade now into a screenplay.
