So my big sister got me a good-quality used easel. It’s been great. In the past week, I redid three paintings. The top one is a large 30×40, and took me 3 or so sessions. The bottom two are 16x20s, and I redid them more quickly.
I think the easel will be a game-changer for me, and I want to create more. I thought about this a lot, but I think I’ll start by redoing my previous works, which I don’t think are my best. I got 2 16×20 blank canvases for new work. Once I feel I’ve reworked enough of my artwork, I’ll try for larger sizes. The easel is nice for multiple sessions because you can see and think about what you are doing by leaving the canvas there. That would be helpful since I create my work by imagination.
In other news, I started an Etsy shop, which is linked on a tab page. I’m doing prints, t-shirts, and other print-on-demand items. I need to figure out how to package and ship better before I try to sell original art.
I’m going back to work tomorrow, which is a good thing; two weeks off may be too much. I’ll probably slow down on the blog posts.
